Inside the Congo cobalt mines that exploit children. The SKY NEWS 6-minute video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcJ8me22NVs is confirmation of the Pulitzer Prize nominated book “Clean Energy Exploitations” that describes the humanity atrocities among folks with yellow, brown, and black skin, and the environmental degradation occurring in developing countries so that the wealthy countries can go green.
''Sadly, “green” enthusiasts are not interested in real pollution but rather in the demonization of carbon dioxide (CO2)''
-Such a simple but important point. ''Real pollution.'' Also 'green' enthusiasts are anyhing but when CO2 is helping reGREEN the Earth so you'd think they'd be all for that not against?
Lots of great comments and points here but just to add to the picture is something that I heard one scientist say (can't remember who it was?). It's that the reason Governments, politicians etc. harp on about Co2 is because it's "measurable" but climate change is multi-factorial. Co2 is measurable so governments/politicians seize the opportunity to tax us on it in so many different ways but the other factors cannot be easily measured or quantified.
EVs are often claimed to have a much smaller footprint than ICE cars, but that is generally an apples-to-oranges comparison of a much bigger ICE vs a small EV. Watch out for comparisons of “average” cars. As disclosed by VW and Volvo, EVs of identical size have a similar or slightly smaller carbon footprint if the CO2 intensity of the grid is low, but it takes them 50,000-100,000 miles to break even. In coal-heavy grids like Colorado (or China, where most EVs drive) the breakeven point never comes and EVs emit more lifetime carbon.
I think it is about two things: claiming moral superiority and cashing in on other people’s money. The $7,500 government subsidy we used to have from the federales translates to a carbon cost of $500/ton, while the current market price is only $50/ton. And even that is an artificial market based on the myth that carbon is a pollutant.
No problem if you prefer an EV for its performance or for its new car sales strategy bypassing aggressive salesmen. But if you claim you bought your EV to be “green” - that’s BS. A house of cards that is collapsing.

Thx
EV has higher carbon footprint than gas cars
Great article
And here is my conspiracy theory: It is the mining wastes from nickel and rare earth mining that are sprayed in chemtrails around the world.
Like putting fluoride—another industrial waste product—in our drinking water!
Yep. Gotta get rid of this crap some how.
Deniers have been lying about the effects of greenhouse gas emissions for decades.
